A Residential Treatment Center for Adolescent Males with Behavioral and Emotional Disorders
Education Program
The education program is five hours each week day and three hours on the weekend. Every client receives an initial test battery to identify strengths and weaknesses. An individualized educational program is then developed for each resident.
A computer learning center is also provided. Every resident learns basic computer skills including keyboarding and word processing. Interactive computer learning programs are provided as the resident progresses.
The diagnostic/prescriptive teaching process is designed to help students learn the basic skills of reading, writing, arithmetic and communication skills. This constructive teaching process focuses on helping students learn how to learn which enables them to play an active role in the teaching process.
